I’m drinking water
In the dark
To try
to not wake you up,
But to care enough
To try
To not have
A hangover tomorrow.

We had a guys night,
And we were celebrating
Our friend
Bringing his second child
Into this world.

It’s shit like that
That  the boys
in this town
don’t experience.

to be awake
For church
In the morning.
